Thiruvananthapuram: UDF convener Benny Behanan stated that they will not accept the investigation under the leadership of ADGP Manoj Abraham into the fire accident in the secretariat. He added that the fire was well-planned.

Benny Behanan pointed out that many files related to the smuggling case was kept in the place where the fire broke out. Files containing details of the foreign trips of the ministers and VIP visits were kept there.

The files into which the NIA was probing were also stored there. The NIA officials should have taken those files into custody already. He also demanded NIA probe into the incident.

As Pinarayi Vijayan-led government tries to sabotage any case, the investigation into the incident cannot be trusted. The high court should register a suo motu case and the probe should be under the supervision of the court, Benny Behanan demanded.

'Smoke screen' was the most used word by the chief minister in the speech in the assembly. But what actually happened in the secretariat was making a 'smoke screen', Benny Behanan said.
