Palakkad: Veena S Nair, a member of the KPCC Digital Media Cell, has levelled serious allegations against Dr P Sarin, who is contesting as a left candidate after leaving the Congress party. In a Facebook post, Veena sharply criticised Sarin’s actions since taking on the role of convenor, stating that it is political blindness for the CPM to promote someone who cannot even unite a small group of 25 people as the leader of a constituency with 200,000 voters.
Veena revealed that she and her colleagues had submitted complaints in January regarding serious issues related to Sarin's activities as the KPCC DMC convenor. She accused Sarin of trying to create divisions within the 25-member DMCC team and of forming his own fan groups, actions she deemed detrimental to the party's future.
According to Veena, Sarin initially sought to assert his dominance within the DMC by insisting on the confidentiality of other members' identities. He targeted those he disliked for criticism, using weekly online meetings as a platform to attack them. Veena remarked, "I was among the first targets."
Sarin began making unilateral decisions on contracts and other matters, leading to issues that prompted Veena and her colleagues to file a formal complaint. However, information about their complaint to the KPCC was leaked to a private channel, resulting in a cyberattack against them, which portrayed them as offenders.
Veena expressed frustration over the narrative that was constructed, suggesting they were working against the party instead of discussing the merits of their complaint. She lamented that they had not had a peaceful moment in the last ten months, praying for justice and the truth to emerge, stating that she has not slept peacefully since January 1, 2024.
Meanwhile, political parties in the state are gearing up for the much anticipated bypolls and campaigns are expected to happen in full swing in the coming days.
