Thrissur: Kerala will approach the Supreme Court against the farm laws of the central government. State Minister for Agriculture V S Sunil Kumar said that the state will question the farm laws in the top court.

“Kerala will not implement the farm laws. We will approach the Supreme Court this week itself. We are ready to face any action from the Centre for making this move,” the minister said.

According to the Constitution, the central government does not have the power to make laws unilaterally on matters which come under the purview of the state governments. But what has happened now is the blatant violation of the Constitution, he stated.

With this action, the central government is centralising power on themselves by violating the Constitution in favour of the corporates, Sunil Kumar alleged.
