Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police announced that strict action will be taken against those who circulate fake messages regarding the Janata Curfew declared by the prime minister on Sunday.

Many anti-socials have been spreading fake messages through social media claiming that private vehicles will be seized if they are found on roads on Sunday and that petrol pumps will be closed.

The government called for the curfew in order to keep the public indoors in a bid to resist the deadly coronavirus. Those who engage in anti-social activites will have to face stringent legal action, the police made it clear.
