
Thiruvananthapuram: Police have slapped serious charges on KSU leader Ansil Jaleel accused of producing a fake degree certificate. Cantonment Police's FIR is based on a complaint lodged by the Kerala University registrar. Currently, he is facing five charges including forgery and fraud.
The FIR says the miscreant forged the document before June 14, intending to mislead/cheat the university.
The former KSU state convenor allegedly committed the grievous crimes of creating a fake serial number and fake signature of the VC, in his bid to put up a fake degree certificate for serving selfish interests.
Cases have been registered against Ansil under IPC sections 465,466,468,471, and 420. Ansil might face imprisonment for up to seven years in the case.
