Thiruvananthapuram: The cantonment police here have registered a case against Ansil Jaleel, the former state convener of KSU, following allegations of possessing a forged graduation certificate based on the complaint of the Kerala University registrar. He is now facing charges of forgery and fraud related to a B.Com degree certificate.
In response to the accusations, Ansil had approached the Alappuzha police. This was soon after a news report accused him of forgery. However, it is learnt that there was no action taken on this.

Ansil vehemently denied any involvement in the creation or use of the fraudulent document, urging a thorough investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, police raided the private financial institution where Ansil works. It is alleged that Ansil used his fake degree certificate to get a job in the company. However, he said that he used only his higher secondary qualification for the job as a bill collector. He claimed police could not recover any degree certificate in his name from the institution.
Ansil said he could not complete his BA Hindi course at Alappuzha SD college due to his father's illness. He claimed he has never enrolled for BCom course and he has no role in the alleged forgery.
