Kannur election squad cracks down on illegal flex! ₹50,000 fine imposed on two firms for banned election campaign materials. See what was seized and why strict checks continue.

Kannur: The District Enforcement Squad has imposed a total fine of ₹50,000 on two advertising firms in Taliparamba for using banned flex materials for election campaigning. The squad seized over 41 rolls of prohibited flex, both used and stored for future use, from VibGyor Advertising and Adstar Advertising.
Officials also confiscated printed banners made with banned flex sheets, which were allegedly meant for various commercial establishments and election campaign purposes.
Both firms were slapped with a fine of ₹25,000 each for violating the ban.
This is the second time prohibited flex materials have been seized from these two establishments. The enforcement squad stated that strict inspections will continue as the Model Code of Conduct remains in effect.
The inspection team included District Enforcement Squad Leader P.P. Ashraf, members Alan Baby, C.K. Dibil and Taliparamba Municipality Public Health Inspector A.V. Juneerani, among others.
