Palakkad: The Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, resumed its journey at 8:50 PM on Wednesday after an unexpected halt of nearly three hours due to a technical glitch. The train came to a standstill near the Shoranur bridge around 5:45 PM after leaving Shoranur station.

Passengers reported that the train remained stationary for about three hours. Initially, railway authorities attributed the disruption to an engine failure and assured passengers that the issue would be resolved promptly by replacing the engine. The train was originally scheduled to reach Ernakulam by 7:10 PM.

To facilitate maintenance, the train was brought back to the Shoranur railway station, where experts from Palakkad joined the repair efforts. After approximately three hours of work, the problem was resolved, and the train was cleared to continue its journey toward Thiruvananthapuram.
