Pathanamthitta (Kerala): Pandalam police on Wednesday registered a case following a complaint by vlogger Neenu, who alleged she was subjected to a cyber attack after posting a video in support of ASHA workers. A case has been filed against Janardhanan, a resident of Kunnamkulam in Thrissur, and efforts are underway to arrest him. According to police, he had posted obscene comments under Neenu’s video.
Neenu stated that she filed the complaint along with a screenshot after he allegedly posted offensive remarks about her family, including her mother. She also claimed that there were attempts from multiple sources to remove her posts. Neenu, who has been working in the medical field for a decade, said she made the video out of solidarity with ASHA workers, believing they deserved fair rights.
"When my first two videos gained attention, I received accusations of making the video as I got a commission. Some even commented that I would be assassinated. I then approached the cyber cell. Later, my third video was mass-reported and had to hide it. This is a deliberate attempt to prevent ASHA workers and the public from seeing my content," Neenu explained.
