Adoor: A CPI leader was nabbed in possession of around 2 kg of marijuana on Friday from Pathanamthitta. The arrestee is Jithin Mohan, CPI local assistant secretary and AIYF district committee member.
Meanwhile, Ananthu, a Kodumon native, absconded from the scene. Excise officials from Adoor seized 2.250 kg of ganja from him.
Jithin was arrested in a raid conducted as part of the excise department's Onam special drive in Adoor. The officials caught Jithin while travelling with Ananthu in a car to sell ganja. Earlier, the excise received a tip-off that Ananthu and Jithin were selling ganja in the Kodumon area.
