A native of Thalassery, Rizwan has been part of the UAE team since 2019

Dubai: Former UAE national cricket team captain and Malayali cricketer CP Rizwan has announced his retirement from international cricket. Rizwan is the first Malayali to score a century in international cricket, having accomplished the feat while playing for the UAE national team.
A native of Thalassery, Rizwan has been part of the UAE team since 2019. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Nepal in the same year. On January 8, 2020, he scored his maiden century in ODIs against Ireland. Over the course of his career, he amassed 736 runs from 29 ODIs and 100 runs from seven T20 internationals.
Off the field, Rizwan works as an officer with Emirates Airlines. He is son of Abdul Raoof and Nasrin Raoof of Thalassery and is married to Fathima Anas.
