Kottayam: The NSS’s Meenachil Taluk union president was shown the door by the organisation on Monday for inaugurating the election committee office of LDF candidate Thomas Chazhikadan. C P Chandran Nair was ousted from his position as the NSS union president. The charge was given to the vice president then.
Conflicts started brewing among members after Chandran Nair inaugurated Thomas Chazhikadan's election office, following which, NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair called all the 13 members of the Taluk Union to Changanassery, and demanded a resignation from Chandran Nair.
Meanwhile, Chandran Nair responded that he had resigned from the post, and had not been ousted.
