Thiruvananthapuram: In the latest development of the ongoing brewery controversy in the state, Opposition Leader V D Satheesan has said he is open to a dialogue with the Chief Minister regarding the establishment of the brewery in Elappully Panchayat, Palakkad. He also mentioned that he would be fine with the government deciding the venue and date for the discussion.
Satheesan rejected the challenge for a dialogue from Minister M B Rajesh and suggested that the date for the discussion between the Chief Minister and the Opposition Leader should be set by the Excise Minister. Ramesh Chennithala also responded, saying he would participate if the Chief Minister called for the dialogue.
In response to the challenge, Ramesh mocked Minister M B Rajesh, saying that it would be better for Rajesh to hold discussions with MP V K Sreekantan, who had defeated him. Meanwhile, Minister M B Rajesh replied that he was willing to engage in a conversation with Satheesan, Chennithala and Sreekantan together. He further added that the Congress had invited the Chief Minister for the dialogue to avoid a public debate on the issue.
