Alappuzha: In a tragic incident in Alappuzha, Kerala, a local Congress leader lost his life after being struck by a private bus. The incident occurred near Poochakkal on Thursday morning while the 70-year-old victim, M R Ravi, was out for a morning walk.
M R Ravi, an executive committee member of the Alappuzha District Congress Committee (DCC), was hit by the speeding bus as he stood near a bus stop, according to a Poochakkal police officer. Ravi was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

The accident took place around 7 am, and the police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving. They are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
