Thiruvananthapuram: With the state leadership deeply divided, the Congress high command has intervened. The disciplinary committee, chaired by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, was asked to submit a report immediately.
It is suggested that those who exaggerate and untruthfully leak party secrets to the media should be spotted and action taken accordingly. AICC general secretary in charge of Kerala Deepa Das Munshi gave the instructions.
The decision of the Wayanad camp and the implementation of the 'Mission 25' plan for the local elections is based on the assessment that the dispute between the leaders is hindering the implementation.
Deepa Das Munshi's letter stated that some leaders are trying to give false news to the media about the party's secret meeting.
The controversy in the Congress was made public following the criticisms in the KPCC executive committee and the subsequent media reports. One section accused Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan of hijacking the party system.
Satheesan was in charge of the 'Mission 25' action plan. The WhatsApp group started for this purpose and the messages he gave in it irked a few leaders. After that, immediately the KPCC committee met and a group of leaders criticised Satheesan.
As soon as this became news, Satheesan also got upset. It was pointed out that the criticism that did not occur in the meeting came in the media and that there was a planned move behind this. He also stayed away from meetings that were part of ‘Mission 25’. He asked the national leaders to take action against those who tried to create controversy. With this, the High Command intervened.
