Thiruvananthapuram: Duo Akhil Sajeev and Lenin Raj who are in the limelight over suspected involvement in the alleged fake job scam linked to Kerala Health Minister Veena George’s office have been named accused in the case. The move comes in the wake of the complaint lodged by the minister Veena George’s staffer Akhil Mathew, who is also facing allegations over the matter.

Mathew's complaint was against false accusations. Ayush Mission had claimed the appointment-related mail being propagated in its name in connection with the scam to be supposedly fake. The mail id was also reportedly non-existent. The authorities also cleared the air saying that the appointment-related letter that the complainant had received was not official, they also cited that the logo on the letter was that of NHM and not Ayush Mission.

Reportedly, Sajeev is the one who sent the fake mail and he is linked to Raj. Evidence suggests Sajeev and Raj received Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. Similarly, at the moment there is no evidence against Mathew. Further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, the duo has been charged with alleged crimes like impersonation, and fraudulent acts. Police claim that the duo hatched the alleged scam. The officials had recorded the statements of the complainant and Malappuram native Haridas and his friend Muhammad Abdul Basith.

Further details are awaited.
