Kozhikode: Police have initiated a probe as Kozhikode Medical College authority remains mysteriously clueless about the four-day-long unauthorised stint of a class 12 girl in an MBBS classroom.

A girl hailing from Malappuram attended first-year MBBS classes at the Medical College without admission. But, the girl’s name is on the attendance register.

The classes for the first-year batch started on November 29 and the girl attended the college for four days without being caught. A total of 245 students took admission for MBBS in the medical college this year. But the girl became part of the new batch without authorisation.

She attended classes from November 29 to December 2. Reports said the girl also took to social media and messaged her friends that she got admission to the medical college.

Meanwhile, the unauthorised presence in the MBBS class came to light when the girl was absent on the fifth day. Later, the course coordinator intimated the matter to the principal. The medical college authority filed a complaint on the matter with the police the other day.
