Kozhikode: Maintaining that Dean of the Veterinary and Animal Sciences College M K Narayanan has not executed his responsibility, Minister J Chinchu Rani on Sunday informed that direction to suspend him along with the assistant warden has been given. 

The Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister said, “The Dean is the hostel warden. The Physical Education teacher is the assistant warden. Both have the responsibility to prepare a daily report after visiting the hostel,” she said, adding that the direction to suspend both pending inquiries was given on the basis of a report she received on their laxity in duty. 

No need for the dean to tell about the shortage of hostel staff, she said, adding that he should have done his duty. "He should have inquired about students' issues which he did not do," she further said. 

The minister also announced that CCTVs will be installed in the hostel.
