Thiruvananthapuram: A team of officials led by chief secretary V P Joy will visit Gujarat to study the implementation of e-governance project in the state. The team will leave for Ahmedabad on Wednesday noon.

The team will meet Gujarat officials on Thursday to study the Gujarat CM Dashboard, the ‘administrative command and control system’, which is supported by the National Informatics Centre.

In 2013, LDF had criticised labour minister Shibu Baby John for visiting Gujarat and holding discussions with Narendra Modi on ‘development issues’. Congress leaders also criticised Shibu and said that the state has nothing to learn from Gujarat. Former CM Oommen Chandy also expressed discontent and even sought an explanation from his cabinet member. Shibu said he enquired about Gujarat's model in skill development.
