Kasaragod: Police have filed charge sheet in the case of using forged certificates to obtain a guest lecturer appointment. The charge sheet mentions former SFI leader K Vidya as the lone accused. Police probe found that Vidya used her own mobile phone to create a forged work experience certificate. 

Vidya testified that the phone used to create the certificate was later abandoned due to the device malfunctioning and the police charge sheet confirms this. Vidya’s senior K Rajitha had also attended the interview at Karinthalam College along with her. The forged document was produced to bypass this candidate and gain appointment.

Earlier, Rajitha had been appointed in the college on grounds of her work experience in Uduma Government College. Vidya submitted a forged document to be appointed to this post. She worked in the college for a year in this manner. The police had submitted a report to the court that Vidya earned Rs 2,78,250 through this employment. 

The court granted bail to Vidya who was arrested in the case.
