Local witnesses said the flames were first noticed by a staff member at the parking counter

Thiruvananthapuram: A minor fire broke out near the parking area of the Central Railway Station on Monday, officials said, though it was quickly brought under control with no reported injuries or damage.
According to authorities, the fire is believed to have started from a pile of waste near the parking zone, where several two-wheelers were parked nearby. Local witnesses said the flames were first noticed by a staff member at the parking counter, who immediately alerted railway officials.
Fire and rescue services reached the spot shortly after and managed to extinguish the blaze within around 15 minutes, preventing it from spreading further.

Police confirmed that no casualties or property loss were reported in the incident.
Officials added that the situation was swiftly contained due to prompt response by railway staff and emergency services. The incident comes shortly after a similar fire at Thrissur Railway Station in which several motorcycles were gutted.
