Thiruvananthapuram: The state cabinet has approved the decision to hike bus, taxi and autorickshaw fares in the state. With this, the minimum fare for bus will be increased to Rs 10. The minimum charge for autorickshaw will be Rs 30. Taxis will charge Rs 200 per 5 kilometres.

The revised rate will come into force from May 1, say reports.

The cabinet meeting has approved the report of the Justice Ramachandran committee here on Wednesday.
