Thiruvananthapuram: MP K Muraleedharan alleged that the Brennen College controversy was highlighted in order to divert attention from the tree felling issue. There is no need to narrate history of 50 years in an official press conference. The chief minister is now carrying an axe and not a sword, Muraleedharan ridiculed.
"The tree felling was a complete corruption. They have tried to chop down all forests here. The CM had once claimed that he walked past many swords. Now he is carrying an axe and chops down every tree he sees. This is the current state of Pinarayi-government," Muraleedharan said.
Along with diverting attention from the tree felling case, the chief minister is trying to quash the Kodakara hawala case as well. He is trying to avoid an ED probe into the tree felling case by settling the hawala case, Muraleedharan alleged.
The CM could have concluded his answer in the first line instead of narrating the history of 50 years. People might have experienced many things during college days. But the society does not want to discuss it, Muraleedharan said.
