Supreme Court grants bail to four accused in SDPI leader K S Shan’s 2021 murder case in Alappuzha.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to RSS workers accused in the murder of SDPI activist K S Shan in Alappuzha. Bail has been granted to four of the accused by a Bench headed by Justice Deepankar Dutt.
The High Court had earlier cancelled their bail. The Supreme Court’s current order overturns that decision. The accused who have been granted bail are Abhimanyu, Athul, Sanand and Vishnu. They were released on the condition that they do not influence witnesses, and the trial court has the authority to impose any additional conditions on their bail if necessary.
In the Shan murder case, the Sessions Court had earlier granted bail to eight RSS accused. The High Court had cancelled bail for four individuals directly involved in the crime. Abhimanyu, Athul and Sanand approached the Supreme Court challenging the High Court order.
