Humsafar Express will now stop at Kayamkulam station, starting November 2025, improving connectivity for travelers.

Kayamkulam passengers have a reason to cheer! The Southern Railway has announced that the Humsafar Express (Train Nos. 16319/16320), operating between Thiruvananthapuram North and SMVT Bengaluru, will now include Kayamkulam Station as an additional stoppage starting from November 1 and 2, 2025.
The move, approved by the Railway Board on an experimental basis, is aimed at improving passenger convenience and enhancing regional rail connectivity. For Train No. 16319 (Thiruvananthapuram North–SMVT Bengaluru), the stop at Kayamkulam will be effective from November 1, while for Train No. 16320 (SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North), it will begin from November 2.
According to the revised schedule, the Humsafar Express will arrive at Kayamkulam at 07.42 pm and depart at 07.44 pm in the northbound direction, and arrive at 07.38 am and depart at 07.40 hours in the return direction.
The introduction of this stop is expected to bring relief to passengers from Alappuzha and neighbouring districts, offering better access to Bengaluru and other key destinations along the route.
