Thiruvananthapuram: The land and house where the couple Rajan and Ambili, who died of burn injuries during suicide bid amid eviction procedures in Neyyattinkara, were living has been purchased by businessman and philanthropist Boby Chemmanur. He purchased the property from landlady Vasantha and it has been registered in the name of two children of Rajan and Ambili.
Boby Chemmanur will hand over the documents to Rajan’s children at the same place on Saturday evening. The boys had made it clear already that they want to live in the place where their parents were buried and that they would not go anywhere else.
Following this, Boby Chemmanur intervened in the matter and bought the land and house from Vasantha. Earlier, the state government and Youth Congress had provided financial assistance to the children.
