Thrissur: The Students Federation of India (SFI) staged a black flag protest against Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
The incident happened on Thursday morning. Khan, attending an event in Engandiyoor, faced protests from SFI activists. The protestors got past the security cover provided by the police and CRPF to stage the protest.
The protest turned violent after BJP workers tried to prevent SFI activists from raising slogans. It is alleged that BJP leaders assaulted a few SFI workers.
The police took 14 SFI leaders into custody in relation to the black flag protest. A similar incident happened the other day when Khan was attending an award ceremony at Health University.
