Beypore/Kozhikode: The fourth edition of the Beypore International Water Fest will begin on December 27, promising a vibrant mix of land, sea, and sky spectacles. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event at Beypore in the evening. Actor and director Basil Joseph will be the chief guest.

A live music performance by singer and director Vineeth Sreenivasan will add charm to the inaugural day, according to Tourism Minister P A Mohammad Riyas. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Beypore Fest Organizing Committee office.

Special guests for the event include M K Raghavan, MP, and Kozhikode Mayor Beena Philip. The festival flag will be brought to the venue through a cycling rally from Kozhikode Beach to Beypore Beach.

From December 27 to 29, cultural programs featuring renowned artists and bands will be held at Beypore, Chaliyam, and Nallur beach venues. Additionally, an exhibition will take place at Nallur in Feroke.

Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cherian will inaugurate the closing ceremony on December 29, which will also feature prominent personalities from various fields. Over three days, cultural programs will be held at Beypore Beach, Chaliyam Beach, and Nallur Mini Stadium.

A food festival will run from December 25 to 31. The food fest will be inaugurated by Speaker A N Shamseer. 

A drone light show is scheduled for December 28 and 29 at 7:30 pm, illuminating the skies above the marina near Beypore.

The festival will feature thrilling water-adventure activities along the Chaliyar River, including surfing, sailing, canoeing, an international kite fest, paramotoring, flyboarding, kayaking, a stand-up paddling race, dinghy boat race, netting, flyboard demonstration, treasure hunt, a country boat race, and fishing. Spectators can also enjoy Navy-Coast Guard ship visits, a Navy band performance, and a demonstration of Navy search and rescue operations.
