Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: An audio clip of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has surfaced in which he is heard stating that the objective behind the ‘Nava Kerala survey’ is to secure a continuation of the Left government’s rule.

The recording is said to be from a training workshop held in Thiruvananthapuram on October 22 for district-level executive committee members involved in the survey.

In the clip, the Chief Minister tells volunteers that their task is to listen to people’s views on development and respond to their concerns without getting provoked.

He says the Left government has been in power for ten years and should continue, asserting that there is no significant anti-incumbency sentiment in the state. He adds that Kerala must progress to a higher level by 2031 and that continuity in governance is essential for that goal.

He also advises volunteers to approach people with clarity, offer detailed explanations to doubts, and avoid falling into provocations, while effectively communicating the government’s achievements.

The meeting, where the Chief Minister spoke for nearly one and a half hours, was attended by Minister K. Rajan and Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak, among others.
