
Attappadi: In a heartbreaking incident, a three-year-old girl lost her life after accidentally ingesting rat poison, mistaking it for toothpaste. The child, identified as Neha (3) from Omalayil in Attappadi, unknowingly used the poison while brushing her teeth.
Soon after, she began experiencing severe discomfort and was rushed to Kottathara Hospital on February 21. As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to Thrissur Medical College, but there was no improvement. In a desperate attempt to save her, she was later transferred to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, but despite all efforts, she could not be saved.
According to reports, renovation work was underway at the house, and various items had been scattered around. It was in this chaos that the child got hold of the tube containing the poisonous substance, mistaking it for toothpaste.
