Thiruvananthapuram: In a remarkable achievement, Shabitha MK, sub editor at Mathrubhumi Online, bagged the Kerala State Youth Commission’s ‘Youth Icon Award 2022-23 for Literature’ for her contributions to literature.
The Youth Icon Awards are presented to young people who have excelled in various fields such as sports, arts, literature, agriculture, entrepreneurship and social service.
The other winners are actor Asif Ali (Arts/Culture), former captain of Indian hockey team PR Sreejesh (Sports), Sujith SP (Agriculture), Sanchi Bags CEO Athira Firoz (Eco-friendly entrepreneurship) and Amal Raj (Social Service).
The awards were announced by Professor MK Sanu at an event at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam.
