Malappuram: PV Anvar, MLA, has renewed serious allegations against ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar and former Pathanamthitta SP Sujith Das, accusing them of involvement in gold smuggling and a murder case. Anvar claims that both officials have been implicated in these criminal activities.
Anvar stated that he had previously lodged a detailed complaint with the Chief Minister and the party secretary, highlighting these issues. Based on his complaint, an investigation led by the DGP was initiated, resulting in the suspension of Sujith Das, IPS, within days.
He also highlighted numerous complaints he has received about police misconduct, including allegations of extortion and fabricated charges by Das and his team, as well as harassment by Ajith Kumar. In response, Anvar has set up a 'WhatsApp' number to collect further evidence and information, he shared the number for this purpose.
Anvar mentioned that he and his allies are actively pursuing these issues across the state and are prepared to provide all necessary evidence to the IG who will be taking statements. He clarified that his complaints to the Chief Minister and the party secretary did not involve P Sasi, asserting that his public allegations were made in his capacity as a public figure, not against the party system.
Anwar's remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny and criticism of his public approach to addressing these concerns.
