Kottayam: Another nun has raised sexual assault complaint against Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who is already accused of raping a nun.

Incidentally, the allegations were raised by a nun who is the 14th witness in the ongoing rape case against the bishop.

The nun stated that Bishop Franco tried to grab hold of her at the convent and spoke to her in a sexually explicit manner through video call. She also stated that the Bishop forced her to display her body parts.

The nun stated that the Bishop misbehaved with her after she came to a convent in Kerala after working in Bihar. The nun’s statements have been recorded in the charge sheet of the rape case against Bishop Franco.

However, the police are yet to register a case based on the allegations as the nun has not filed a separate complaint. It is learned that the nun has not filed the complaint as she is afraid of the Bishop.

It must be noted that the police are not yet ready to register a case despite such serious allegations against the Bishop from another nun.
