Kochi: Sanoop, a B Com student of MES College, Edathala has turned saviour for abandoned puppies. 19 puppies are on the terrace of his house at Edathala in Aluva. He could not hold back his mind when he found these harmless newborn puppies abandoned by someone near the canal. He brought them home and took care of them even during his exam time.

Tanja said “These puppies are not even a month old. Do we throw our newborn kids in a box somewhere? I wonder how people could be so cruel to throw these poor things in the water.”
Two-three of these puppies are seriously unwell. We are going to shift them into the hospital, added Achuthan.
When Sanoop's efforts to protect the puppies made headlines, a few people came forward and expressed their interest to adopt the puppies. Five of them are already adopted. Sanoop believes that someone will adopt other puppies too. Inviting people to adopt the puppies, he had posted on Instagram and other social media.
Sanoop’s father passed away in a road accident eight months ago and his only brother is bedridden due to polio related issues. Amidst these hardships and pain, Sanoop is taking care of the puppies.
