According to police, the baby was brought to the hospital with severe injuries but could not be saved despite medical efforts

Kochi: Kochi: A six-month-old infant was brought to a hospital in Angamaly with a neck injury but could not be saved, prompting police to suspect foul play.
The deceased has been identified as Delna Mariyam Sara, daughter of Antony and Ruth, residents of Cheeni, Karukutty.
According to police, the baby was rushed to the hospital with a severe wound on the neck. Despite the doctors’ efforts, the infant succumbed to her injuries. Hospital staff, suspecting the nature of the wound to be unnatural, immediately alerted the authorities.
The Angamaly Police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation. Statements from the child’s relatives are being recorded, and officials said the exact cause of death will be confirmed following a detailed inquiry and post-mortem examination.
