Albin’s journey began in the remote hills of Peerumedu, where he completed his higher secondary education with much struggle at a government school. He lived with his parents in a small house near the old Pampanar plantation.

Tragedy struck when his father Antony passed away, leaving his mother Lourdes Mary to shoulder the burden of raising the family. She earned a meagre living working in the plantation, but when it shut down, even that source of income was lost. Desperate to make ends meet, Lourdes Mary found work as a cook in a convent in Kochi and Albin soon joined her there.

At just 18 years old, Albin’s life took a new turn. He began as a helper at V-Guard, earning a daily wage of ₹100. With perseverance, he earned a promotion to office assistant.

It was at V-Guard that Albin found his turning point. The company was struggling to have a cover design for a new product. Several design agencies had failed to deliver, and Albin decided to take on the challenge himself. Using the office computer at night, he worked tirelessly to create a design. The company loved it. Recognising his talent, V-Guard sponsored Albin to study Visual Media Communication, and he was soon appointed as the company’s in-house designer.

Albin’s career soared when he secured a role at the multinational firm Ernst & Young as Head of the Design Department. Yet, his entrepreneurial spirit urged him to do more. He took the bold step of resigning and founded his own company—CNM Global Innovation.

Starting with just four employees in a rented house in Kochi, Albin faced countless challenges. There were times when he struggled to repay loans, and the bank came knocking with repossession notices. But his unwavering determination and creativity paid off. Soon, international companies began waiting in line for Albin’s designs.

Today, CNM Global Innovation boasts an annual turnover of ₹5 crore and employs 45 people. Albin’s dreams do not end here. He envisions opening offices in Bengaluru and Chennai and providing employment to at least 100 people.

His wife Mercy Anu stands beside him as the Chief Financial Officer of the company, making this success story as much a tale of family support as it is of personal grit and resilience.

From a small plantation home to global recognition, Albin’s story is a beacon of hope for anyone who dares to dream and work for it.
