Kannur: Vehicle owners who have received notices for traffic violations identified by AI-enabled cameras are required to pay fines through online modes.
The fines are paid through the e-Challan Parivahan website or at Akshaya Centres. Unfortunately, many who have been penalized for traffic violations are mistakenly visiting RTO offices to pay their fines.
If the AI-enabled camera detects a traffic violation, a notice is issued to the owner's address. Furthermore, the vehicle owner would receive a message on his phone number too.
The owners must pay the fine within 30 days, or else it will have to be paid at the court.
Meanwhile, the owners could file a complaint to RTO within 15 days regarding any clarity on the fines.
