Kerala-born man adopted to Sweden searches for biological parents and siblings in Kerala.

Kollam, Kerala: Decades after being adopted by a Swedish couple, Tomas Andersson, originally from Kerala, has returned to search for his biological parents and siblings.
Born in Thiruvananthapuram on August 25, 1983, he was placed at Holy Angels Convent in 1984 before being moved to Bengaluru. From there, he was adopted by a Swedish couple.
Now known as Tomas Andersson Modig, he works as a psychologist in Stockholm. In a note shared online, he said that although he was raised with care in Sweden, he has always felt an emotional void and hopes to find his roots in Kerala. He believes his parents or siblings may still be living near the convent where he once stayed.
Tomas has also shared photographs, including four from his life in Sweden and three from his early years in India, as part of his appeal.
Seeking support
Having recently travelled to the Maldives, Tomas plans to return to Kovalam on Monday. He has requested anyone with information about his family to reach him through WhatsApp at +460768881086 or by email at p.tomas.andersson@gmail.com.
Members of the Malayali diaspora have stepped forward to assist. Among them is Jinu Samuel, a Loka Kerala Sabha member working in Sweden’s IT sector, who connected with Tomas through social media and has been spreading his appeal across WhatsApp groups and other platforms.
