Alappuzha: A Class 8 student was found hanging near the premises of the Veda Vyasa School in Edathua on Monday.
According to sources, the boy had asked his mother for a mobile phone on Monday morning to play games. When she refused to grant his wish, he left the house in desperation.
Concerned about his absence, the family launched a search. Tragically, his body was later found hanging near the premises of the Veda Vyasa School.
It is suspected that the boy took his own life after being denied the mobile phone. Further details awaited.
