Veronica Mancha, a vlogger whose YouTube description identifies her as a Spanish woman living in Kerala, has shared her experience of receiving specialist treatment at a public hospital in the state, detailing the speed of the process in a recent YouTube Shorts video. The same video has been uploaded across her social media platforms.

In the video, she spoke about her first experience at a public hospital in India (Kerala, Alappuzha), focusing on the time taken to access specialist care.

During the video, Mancha compared the experience with healthcare access in her home country, stating that securing an appointment with a dermatologist there can take around eight months.

She said no prior appointment was required for her visit to the Kerala facility.

Mancha described a walk-in process in which she completed registration and was able to see the specialist in less than 10 minutes. Reacting to the experience, she remarked, "Congratulations India."

She added, "Honestly, I did not expect this; I can't believe it," and questioned whether this level of public healthcare service is available across India.

Treatment outcome discussed in follow-up

The vlogger also spoke about the treatment prescribed for her skin condition, stating that her pimples were drying up "really quickly" after the consultation.

In a later YouTube Shorts video, she said the two-week treatment period had ended. While she stated that her skin was in a better condition than before, she confirmed that the acne had not cleared completely and that some new spots were still appearing.

According to Mancha, the dermatologist advised her to return to the hospital if the condition persisted beyond the two-week period, at which point the specialist would determine which antibiotics were required.

She also stated that she does not wish to take antibiotics and said she is currently unsure how she will proceed if the topical treatment does not work.
