Chandigarh: Kerala Police have arrested three individuals, including the main accused from Haryana in connection with alleged cheating in the recruitment exam conducted by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. The special investigative team from Kerala reached Haryana a few days ago. They apprehended the accused based on an inquiry into coaching centres in Haryana.
ASP and Poojapura Station House Officer Deepak Dhanka, who is also a Haryana native, led the police team.
"They copied the question paper through a mobile device hidden inside their shirt and sent it outside through applications...the camera was placed in the shirt button-hole. The answers were then obtained using a headset on their ears," said Inspector Harilal of the police team in Haryana.
Police have so far nabbed six others in connection to the incident.
Earlier this week, the Museum and Medical College police had apprehended two Haryana natives Sumit Kumar (25) and Sunil (25) from Cotton Hill and St Mary's Higher Secondary School respectively in connection with the cheating case. Their address was proved to be fake during verification. They allegedly captured images of the question paper using a mobile phone and sent them to coaching centres in Haryana.
