Kochi: A complaint has arisen that SFI workers subjected a first year student in Maharaja’s College to brutal ragging. As per the complaint, the student was beaten up inside a locked hostel room and his nude pictures were captured.

Malappuram native Robin, a first year BA Malayalam student, was subjected to ragging by SFI workers. A gang including SFI unit secretary locked up Robin in a hostel room on Friday at 8 pm till Saturday 11 am. They manhandled him and captured his nude pictures, according to Robin’s complaint.

Robin was hit on his knees with iron rods. He was denied food and sleep at night. The gang threatened that if complaint was filed with police, they will trap him in fake charges, Robin’s friend revealed to mathrubhumi.com.

It is alleged that the gang manhandled Robin after he refused to collect fund for SFI. The gang also included outsiders who are not part of SFI, as per reports. Ernakulam central police registered a case in connection with the incident and initiated a probe.
