Pathanamthitta: It has been 17 years since a bank employee in Elanthoor was found dead under mysterious conditions at her house. However, the family is yet to come to terms with the findings of the police. It was alleged that the investigation didn't examine the presence of sperms found in the private parts of her body.

The deceased was living separately from her husband at the time of her death. She has two children. On June 8, 2005, she was found dead on the floor adjacent to the kitchen.

Her daughter, who was in another room at the time of the incident, said that the door leading outside from the kitchen was found ajar. She added that there was presence of Furadan, the commercial name of carbofuran, a chemical used to control agricultural pests.

The vessel used to mix Furadan was also found washed and placed inside the bathroom. The circumstances surrounding her demise further raised eyebrows. The daughter said that body was found in the room that was only used to keep the waste.

However, her brother told police that the door was closed. This was contradictory to her remarks.

The case was initially probed by local police and later by Crime Branch. However, the finding was that she had committed suicide. However, the family alleged that police didn't probe about the sperm on her body. It was also alleged that the poison was forced into her mouth after murder.

Meanwhile, the son of the deceased stated that he pities his sibling for thinking he had a role to play in the murder of their mother. He suspects a few of his relatives to be involved in his mother's death.
