Patiala: YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Armaan Malik, along with his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, have been reportedly summoned by a Patiala district court in two separate cases. The court has issued notices requiring the trio to appear on September 2, following a petition filed by Davinder Rajput.

The petition accuses Armaan Malik of violating the Hindu Marriage Act by allegedly maintaining four marriages simultaneously. Under the Act, individuals practising Hinduism are permitted only one legal marriage at a time. This has led to allegations of bigamy against Armaan.

Additionally, the petition raises concerns over an earlier incident involving Armaan and Payal Malik, who came under fire for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. The controversy arose after Payal dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali in an Instagram video, sparking widespread outrage. The petitioner claimed that this act disrespected religious beliefs and violated laws protecting religious sentiments.

In an effort to address the backlash, Armaan and Payal publicly sought forgiveness. On July 22, the couple visited the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala, offered prayers, and apologised for their actions. The following day, they visited another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali, where Payal reportedly undertook a seven-day religious penance involving temple cleaning and rituals.

The couple then travelled to Haridwar to seek blessings and forgiveness from Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara. During this period, Payal’s health declined, necessitating hospitalisation in Mohali.
