Thiruvananthapuram: A YouTuber has been arrested for allegedly posting abusive and derogatory content targeting deceased journalist Jijo John Puthezhath and his family.

Vanchiyoor police arrested YouTuber Arun Lal after obtaining evidence in the case. Police recovered videos containing abusive language and derogatory remarks and took Lal into custody from Kazhakootam.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala had earlier directed the Cyber Division IG to take strict action against cyber attacks targeting Jijo John Puthezhath and his family.
