The group has also raised questions about political associations, released a parody manifesto, and quickly gained traction among younger users

New Delhi: A new online satirical movement named the Oggy Janata Party has officially launched what it calls a counter-campaign against the already viral Cockroach Janta Party, escalating an unusual digital rivalry that is rapidly gaining traction across Indian social media platforms.
Inspired by the animated series Oggy and the Cockroaches, the Oggy Janata Party has positioned itself as a response to the original parody collective, publicly questioning its narratives, messaging and online political satire style.

The ongoing “virtual feud” between the two groups has sparked widespread engagement online, drawing mixed reactions and turning into a trending topic across platforms.
OJP raises questions over political associations
In a post shared on Instagram, the Oggy Janata Party highlighted alleged political associations of Abhijeet Dipke, pointing to his reported past involvement with the Aam Aadmi Party.
The group claimed Dipke had volunteered with the party as part of its social media and election campaign efforts. It also referenced a 2024 post in which he reportedly expressed gratitude to former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
In that post, Dipke allegedly wrote: “I’m truly grateful for all the opportunities you provided me while working with you. Leaving for Boston with your guidance as my compass. No distance will ever weaken my commitment to AAP.”
‘Motto: Eliminate all cockroaches’
The Oggy Janata Party has publicly defined its mission in highly satirical terms through its official online presence.
According to its website, the group states that it exists to “kill all kinds of cockroaches,” adding: “Any roach. Any size. Any species. Dead.”
The provocative wording has contributed to its viral appeal, particularly among younger social media users engaging with the parody-driven political satire trend.
Criticism of Cockroach Janta Party narrative
The group has also questioned the messaging and intent of the Cockroach Janta Party, sharing a montage featuring images of Indian freedom fighters.
The caption accompanying the post read: “A land shaped by the sharpness of swords is witnessing its youths taking pride in calling themselves ‘cockroaches’. Truly the ‘Peak unemployment’ symptoms!”
The statement reflects the group’s critique of what it perceives as exaggerated or symbolic political satire emerging online.
OJP releases manifesto on animal welfare and social issues
Despite its satirical tone, the Oggy Janata Party has also released a structured manifesto focusing on animal welfare and social concerns.
The group stated: “We believe a compassionate India is a strong India. Our Animal Rights Manifesto promises free healthcare for every stray, strict cruelty laws, more shelters, daily feeding missions and adoption awareness campaigns across every city. Because every life matters and we mean it.”
The manifesto was shared alongside a six-point policy-style poster on Instagram.
In addition, the group has also used its platform to raise concerns about the NEET paper leak issue, posting visuals that read “students deserve justice” along with its mascot.
Rapid growth of a viral online movement
The Oggy Janata Party, which describes itself in its Instagram bio as “Not backed by any political party, unlike USA-based ‘CJP’,” has quickly gained attention online.
Since its launch, the account has crossed 1 million followers, contributing to the expanding ecosystem of satirical political parody movements that continue to trend on Indian social media.
