TVK President Vijay to address executive meeting in Vellore under strict safety protocols.

Vellore: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) President Vijay is set to address the party’s executive meeting in Vellore district on Monday, with extensive arrangements and strict safety protocols in place to ensure a secure and orderly event.
The meeting will be held from noon to 3 pm at Kollamangalam, Vellore, and party sources confirmed that approximately 4,900 executive members have been authorised to attend.
Entry restrictions are strictly enforced, with access limited to attendees holding special QR-coded admission passes. The party has introduced this system to streamline entry, prevent overcrowding, and ensure that only authorised executives participate in the closed-door session.
TVK General Secretary N Anand stated that, as a precautionary measure, certain groups, including pregnant women, children, school students, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with pre-existing medical conditions, will not be issued entry passes. The enhanced safety measures follow an incident during a recent TVK programme in Erode, where a participant fainted and later passed away.

Organisers have installed a large overhead canopy at the venue to provide shade and comfort during the three-hour session. Medical teams and emergency facilities will also be on standby to ensure attendee safety.
Vijay’s campaign convoy arrived in Vellore late Sunday night under tight security. Supporters gathered along key routes, indicating strong enthusiasm among party cadres ahead of the address.
The Vellore meeting follows a similar high-profile gathering in Salem, as TVK steps up its organisational activities ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Party insiders noted that the session will focus on strengthening booth-level structures, reviewing campaign strategies, and energising district-level office bearers.
With expectations running high, Vijay’s speech is anticipated to chart the party’s next phase of political mobilisation in northern Tamil Nadu, signalling the start of a focused electoral push.
