Rudraprayag: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has recovered the charred bodies from the devastating helicopter crash that occurred in Uttarakhand's Gaurikund, resulting in the deaths of all seven people onboard, including a 23-month-old child.
Preliminary reports suggest that poor visibility and weather conditions may have contributed to the accident. The deceased have been identified as Captain Rajbir Singh Chauhan, the pilot, Vikram Rawat, an employee from Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), Vinod Devi and her granddaughter Trushti Singh, Who were pilgrims from the state of Uttar Pradesh, and a family of three, Rajkumar Jaiswal, wife Shradha Jaiswal, and their daughter Kashi Jaiswal from Maharashtra.
The SDRF, NDRF, and local police worked together to recover the bodies from the crash site. The rescue efforts were likely challenging due to the remote location and adverse weather conditions.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:20 am while an Aryan Aviation helicopter was flying from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi.
