Dubai: The Indian Air Force's Tejas fighter jet crashed during a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show on Friday, November 21, 2025, around 2:10 pm local time. The aircraft was performing an aerial display when it went down near Al-Maktoum International Airport.
Thick black smoke was seen rising from the crash site, witnessed by onlookers, including women and children. It is not yet clear if the pilot managed to eject before the crash.
The Tejas is an indigenously developed Indian multirole light combat aircraft designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is a single-engine, supersonic fighter jet that serves as a key part of the Indian Air Force's modernization efforts.
