Kochi: To mark their protest against various policy tweaks pushed by the Union government in the banking sector, All India Central Bank Employees’ Federation, a body of employees in public sector banks, decided to launch an all-India strike on March 28 and March 29.
The bankers are protesting against privatisation of the banking sector, foreignization of public sector banks and IDBI bank share sale to strategic investors.
The Federation first announced the strike on February 23 and February 24 but in the wake of Covid-19 situation and assembly polls it was postponed .
